Materials Needed

  • 3 ring binder - Used to keep notes, homework, and worksheets organized. We will utilize different worksheets to supplement notes, so having a 3 ringed binder is more beneficial than a spiral notebook.

  • Scientific calculator - Not to be confused with a graphing calculator! A scientific calculator has a log button, can convert numbers into scientific notation, etc. but you do NOT need a graphing calculator (though if you have one, it'll be just fine). Chemistry involves plenty of math so you'll need a scientific calculator.

  • Notebook paper - I rarely provide guided notes, as I feel it is beneficial to learn how to take good notes, so you will need plenty of lined paper in your 3 ring binder to take good notes.

  • Writing utensils - Chemistry is a challenging class so I suggest having at least one pencil, just in case a mistake is made. Some students enjoy having different colored pens to help organize notes, but it is by no means required.

*If you have trouble getting one or more of these materials please contact me as soon as possible so we can work something out.
